A pair of 12 bore "Supreme de Luxe" secondhand best sidelock ejectors with 27" chopper lump barrels, easy opening mechanism, double triggers and wonderfully matching walnut stocks with leather covered recoil pads.  Complete with a Brady motor case and canvas outer cover. Click for case images - ONE   TWO   THREE

A pair of used 12 bore “Supreme de Luxe” sidelock ejector guns, serial numbers 79719 and 79720, with double triggers.  Cased in a “Brady” motor case in tan leather and including a zipped outer cover.  Completed in 1981 and made especially for driven grouse shooting.  Condition is excellent.   Gun weight is 6 lbs  5 ozs.     Balance is on hinge pins.

 

Barrels.   27” long chopper lumps with easy opener units.  2 ½” chambers (65mm). Chokes - tight improved cylinder in all tubes.  Proved in Birmingham,  (No. 1 in 1980 and No. 2 in 1981)  Imperial Proof marks.  Proof size .729”.  Bores measure .730” and outside diameters at light point are .780” and .781” on No. 1 and both .781” on No. 2.   Average walls at lightest point are therefore .025”.     Barrel black is slightly worn in the usual places.  (More details on barrel measurements available on request).

 

Stock measurements are:-

 

Length of pull.   15 1/8”  including  ¾” leather covered recoil pads in dark brown.       Drop.   1 ½”  x  2 3/16”.                         Cast off.    3/8”.

Here are images of the 12 bore boxlock ejector restoration project gun numbered 2617, which was made by Brown's in the early 1950's, it came to us in a very sorry state with pitted bores and a split, worn out stock. After revovation it looks and handles beautifully and has a proud new owner. We hope it gives him many years of sound service and pleasure.

model sidelock ejector guns by A. A. Brown & Sons in excellent condition.

Specification.  Serial No's 79625 & 79626.  c. 1974.    3 previous owners.

Stocks.     Length  15 1/8".   Cast off.  1/8".   Drop.  1 1/2"  x  2 3/16"

Weight.  6 lbs  10ozs.  Balance on hinge pin or @ 4" in front of front trigger

Barrels.  Dovetail lumps.  27" long.   Proved 1974 Birmingham at .729" with 2 3/4" chambers.

Bores measure .730" at light point.   .731" to .732" just below chambers.

Lightest wall measurements are 24 to 27 thou.  Average is 27 to 35 thou.

Chokes  Imp. Cyl.  Right tubes and 1/2 in left tubes.

Action.  Engraver, Les Jones.  Fine scroll and roses. Small Grouse scenes on base of actions. Silver finish from new.  Double triggers. Auto safety catch. Standard opening.
