NEWS SECTION

With sadness we report the death on 15th June 2006 of Sidney Brown. Click here for more details

We have several enquiries for used A A Brown guns, preferably with either 28" or 30" barrels, if you have such a gun you would like to sell please consider us a potential sales broker.

We are currently updating several pages of our site, mainly the history and used gun sales pages.   A box of old family photographs have been found which contain a number of previously unpublished images from the early days.  Robin is scanning these, adding text sourced from his fathers reminiscences and progressively uploading them within the history section.  We hope you find them interesting.   ALSO, WE ARE TRYING TO KEEP THE USED GUNS SECTION UP TO DATE ON A REGULAR BASIS. (Click Used Sales Bar).  In addition, we are updating our GALLERY photographs. The thumbnails, identified as 'Updated', are the same but the picture that opens up is better, in one way or another.  First three are pictures of the Matthew Boulton Tribute guns.  Look for these thumbnails on the Gun Photographs page.    Several are now improved, we will progressively work our way through the rest so check back for updates periodically.   (This image, below, is inactive)  Also, the BB game article on Brown customised Beretta's is now illustrated.

The Matthew Boulton  Tribute 20 bore guns

We are saddened to hear of the death, following a long illness, of James (Jimmie) C. Codell Jr. on 21st December 2004.  It was Jimmie Codell, of Winchester, Kentucky, together with his first wife, Carol, who commissioned the Boulton Tribute guns for delivery in 1985.  His passion for all things Matthew Boulton was represented, for him, in this project.  His collection of Matthew Boulton "pieces" numbered over 2000 and he was consulted by auctioneers and other collectors as an expert on the subject.  He presented several notable exhibitions at museums and at the Lexington exhibition the Boulton guns were on show along with many items from his collection.  Our sympathy goes to his family with apologies for being unable to attend the memorial service held in Lexington on January 22nd 2005.

Now sold, our 12 bore BLE from the early 1950's that we acquired a few years ago to use as a renovation project. Click on Used Sales button to see a group of pictures of the finished project.  Here is a single image of the gun......
